•  Return on investment – You are shopping for a wood stove to save money. The Grizzly's price allows for very fast payback. Don't get talked into spending money on features that don't give you any payback.

•  Forced air draft verses natural draft - We like the fact that the Grizzly has forced air draft. With forced air draft, chimney height is not critical for proper operation. Natural draft stoves can be finicky and are affected by wind, atmospheric pressure, neighboring buildings, etc. Natural draft stoves tend to smolder more and create more creosote and smoke.

•  Firebox design - The Grizzly has a round firebox which gives you more strength then a square design.

•  Ash removal - The Grizzly has an ash removal area that you can easily remove the ashes from. Many boiler companies make you shovel them out the loading door. Besides being a big hassle and having to let your fire go out, you end up removing most of the coals.

•  Closed verses Open System - Why is the radiator system in your car under pressure? Closed or pressurized systems remove most of the air in the system. If you mix metal, water, and air together you get rust. If you take the air away there is no rust. Open systems should have bronze or stainless pumps. If you are worried about a pressurized system blowing up, than you should immediately remove your water heater from your home!

•  Energy independence - Take control of your fuel bill.

We hope this clarifies some of the common questions related to your decision when shopping for an outdoor stove.
